River Valley Baseball for Youth Complex
Each year hosts a number of large and small tournaments. We look forward to working with tournament organizers to tackle logistics in an effort to make a win-win situation for all involved. When planning early, a tournament could encompass additional city and county ball fields within a short distance of the complex. Golf Tournaments
With nearly 400 hotel rooms available in Marion, Ohio and some great golf courses to choose from, we have hosted a number of state, regional and local competitions and fundraisers. Being centrally located within the state of Ohio is a bonus for anyone looking to find the perfect spot to host their regional or company outing.
Disc Golf Tournaments
In 2010 the PDGA brought the Worlds Disc Golf Championships to Marion, Ohio for a week long tournament. Marion’s course is located at Sawyer Ludwig park, but the main events and the final rounds were held at Ohio State University at Marion on a special event course. The group used tournament-ready courses within central Ohio, including Marion, Delaware, Upper Sandusky, Tiffin, and Bucyrus. There are two additional courses planned to be ready for play in Marion County in 2011. Field trials were held on the open grounds at the college. The college facilities offered perfect accommodations for the Sport Store, clinics and other sessions. Even though it was perfect weather for the event, the facility also offered a shelter from the sun with a perfect place to watch play at a number of the baskets.

Marion Veterans Memorial Coliseum
Wrestling competitions, indoor football, trade shows or even school and college competitions such as the National Robotics Competition have been held at the coliseum.
